Taya and her Miracle Babies

Taya's Story

In January of 2015, Taya, a pregnant 1 ½ year old pit bull terrier mix, was found in Miami after a call to a local shelter alerted them to what had happened to her.  From what those who have examined her could tell, she was intentionally burned all across her pregnant belly.  It is unknown who would have harmed her or how, but it was suggested that someone may have been trying to abort the puppies. After hearing about her situation, Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Wellington stepped up to take Taya in and immediately get her treatment.  In February 2015 at Veterinary Surgical Center in Jupiter, Taya delivered 9 beautiful puppies. Taya has since been adopted into a loving forever home and is recovering well. When she was first found, it was unsure if she or her unborn puppies would even make it. Miraculously, the best outcome has happened thanks to Big Dog Ranch Rescue.
