My Story

Wendy Pink Bellies Photography

I'm a dog lover. But it wasn't always that way.

My husband came with a dog. This was non-negotiable. Lucky for me, because I ended up falling in love with Sasha, a gorgeous 130 lb. rottweiler who shed like crazy. She changed the person I was, and the person I have become.

We now share our lives with Elsie and Camille. That's Elsie on the right. Elsie's mom was a stray who gave birth to a litter of 3 on a friend's doorstep, of which Elsie was the runt.  Camille, pictured on the left, was dumped on the side of the road in the middle of a hail storm at 6 weeks old with her litter mate.  They have all taught me unconditional love, and each day I try to prove myself worthy of it.

I've had a camera in my hand since the 80s, and have been focusing more on portraits since 2010. I am constantly searching to improve my techniques through formal and practical learning.

Just like the family portraits I create, I feel very passionate about my pet portraiture. It is so important to immortalize our fur babies in photographs... even more so because they are with us for such a short time.  And it's not just about dogs... I've photographed pigs, horses, cats, and even reptiles! So don't wait another day! Contact me for more details. Can't wait to meet you! ~Wendy
